In partnership with Healthy Living Network, The Real Junk Food Project launched the UK's first P.A.Y.F. cafe, utilising only waste food produce to feed those that are food insecure, accepting only a donation in return for the service.

Monday 16th December - The launch.
A successful launch feeding over 42.6kg of donated waste food produce to those that are food insecure in Armley, Leeds.

Launching the UK's first 'Pay-As-You-Feel' cafe

Wednesday 18th December - The 2nd opening of the cafe.
Our second service utilised over 4 kg of waste food produce, and used up all the waste food we intercepted from the launch, to create lots of healthy, edible meals for the general public to have access to.

Friday 20th December - 3rd cafe service.

Our third P.A.Y.F. cafe service had an Asian influenced menu, along with some traditional classics.

Wednesday 25th December - Christmas day.

Today we cooked a buffet lunch and anyone was welcome to come and sit and enjoy the food at 12:30pm. We had families and individuals turn up. We had some excellent volunteers help out, which we're so fortunate for.
Any left over produce was made up into packed lunches and handed out to homeless, Big Issue sellers, and more on Boxing day in Leeds city centre.

Friday 27th December - 5th cafe service.

Our fifth P.A.Y.F. cafe service had Asian influences. All leftover produce was donated to 'Feeding the Homeless - Leeds', which fed dozens of homeless, and does so once a month.
